It is our great pleasure to invite you to attend the 7th Kuopio Alzheimer Symposium, which will be held June 11-13, 2015, in the beautiful, summery lakeside Kuopio city, Finland.
Alzheimer’s disease is one of the most important health challenges worldwide. This year’s Kuopio Alzheimer Symposium will once again present clinicians and AD researchers with the latest findings and hot topics in research, prediction, diagnosis, and interventions of Alzheimer’s disease. We are expecting 250 clinicians and scientists to join us and share their latest discoveries and discuss future challenges.
The 7th Kuopio Alzheimer Symposium will feature a stimulating scientific program. During the 3-day symposium you will have the opportunity to hear top level presentations and discussions concerning the following main topics: New insights into neurodegeneration, Diagnosis and prediction of Alzheimer's disease: Update on biomarker studies, New advances in imaging, Technology supported diagnosis and care, Novel approaches towards prevention, Population-based prevention studies, and Novel approaches in clinical treatment studies.
The Symposium also highlights results of the FINGER study and reports of ongoing EU-projects, such as LIPIDIDIET, HATICE, EMIF, VPH-DARE@IT, and PredictND. The focus is on identifying novel tools for disease prediction, understanding the mechanisms, and discovering disease-specific therapeutic targets in Alzheimer’s disease. In addition, the poster session on Friday evening, June 12, will offer more opportunities to familiarize yourself with new, exciting findings on all these topics.
The 7th Kuopio Alzheimer Symposium will provide an outstanding forum to meet and learn from highly respected top-level speakers, who will spotlight the most timely and significant advances in Alzheimer's disease research. The Symposium will also offer excellent opportunities for networking, collaboration, and exchanging innovative ideas for future Alzheimer's disease research, treatment and prevention.
The symposium is organized by University of Eastern Finland, Institute of Clinical Medicine, Neurology, The Finnish Alzheimer’s Disease Research Society, and The Doctoral Program in Molecular Medicine.
